Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Tuesday with UNICEF’s new Resident Representative for the United Nations, Sara Beysolow Nyanti.

At the meeting, the Foreign Minister stressed the attention drawn by the national authorities in Sanaa to facilitate the implementation of the humanitarian and relief organizations’ work, including UNICEF, and to strengthen its important role in partnership with the competent national authorities in order to achieve the ultimate goal of serving the citizens and alleviating their suffering.

The UNICEF representative affirmed UNICEF’s full commitment to providing the necessary services to the Yemeni citizen and to exert all efforts towards the target groups.

She also confirmed UNICEF’s commitment to cooperate and coordinate fully with the Yemeni authorities to serve Yemeni citizens.
