A French parliamentarian has confirmed that his country is killing Yemen and its people, local French media reported.“France is killing in Yemen,” MP Sebastian Nadot said during a session of the French parliament, addressing the silence of what is happening in Yemen and the continued sale of French arms to Saudi Arabia.
According to local French media, MP Sebastian Nadot has protested the positions of the government of his country on what is happening in Yemen by raising a protest banner.
During the session at the National Assembly held on February 19, MP Sébastien Nadot unfurled a banner bearing the inscription “France is killing in Yemen”.
Nadot pointed out that the French National Council did not hold any meeting to discuss the situation in Yemen.
He expressed his strong criticism of his country’s continued sale of arms to Saudi Arabia.
The lifting of this sign led to a state of panic within the French parliament, where the President of the Assembly asked MP Nadot to hand over the sign to security men.
In March 2015, the US_Saudi coalition started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Nearly four years 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
