Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, head of the supreme revolutionary committees has condemned US president Donald Trump’s call for recognition of the Zionist entity’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Al-Houthi said that Trump’s call “testifies to the arrogance of American actions in support of Zionist entity” and that it “has been issued by those who do not have the right, and does not give him the right to decide the fate of others.”
“We condemn the call by the President of the United States to recognize the sovereignty of the Zionist entity over the Golan, which has been issued by those who do not have the right and does not give him the right to decide the fate of others, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi wrote on his Twitter account on Friday.
“The call is a condemnation of Trump and his administration for jumping on international laws and for avoiding them,” he said, adding that “U.S. actions supporting the entity testify to the fact that it is a barbaric act .”
In the same move like moving the US embassy to Jerusalem which is against international resolutions, US president Donald Trump said Friday: “It is time for America to fully recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.”
As the entity celebrated, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked President Trump for what he termed “the courageous step of recognizing the Golan”.
In contrast, Trump’s call for opposition reactions, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States said: “Any recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Syrian Golan is irrelevant and does not entail rights.”
While Turkey has warned of dire consequences, the Turkish foreign minister said: “Attempts to legitimize Israel’s violations will lead to further violence in the region.”
At the international level, media outlets have conveyed to Russian diplomats their assertions against any decision to recognize the annexation of the Golan to Israel.
“Russia will never recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied Golan,” said Morozov, a member of the International Affairs Committee of the Council of the Russian Federation.
The European Union (EU) also stressed that “the European Union does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan.”
As well as Saudi Arabia relies heavily on the US in its brutal war on Yemen. Washington has deployed a commando force on the Arab kingdom’s border with Yemen as well as the logistical support and aerial refueling.
Four years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
