The United States has been involved for four years in the Saudi-led coalition war on Yemen.

A US military delegation arrived in the southern city of Aden , under the control of UAE, Thursday evening, media sources said.

According to a source in the Coast Guard Service under the occupation of the UAE in the city of Aden, the goal of the arrival of the US delegation is to train Coast Guard forces, and provide material and technical support, to secure and protect the coasts, ports and islands in Yemen.

The US delegation expressed its readiness to provide support to the Coast Guard under the occupation of the UAE in Aden.

The US continues to “provide support to the coalition,” Major General David C. Hill, deputy commander of US Army Central, told AFP on the sidelines of a military exhibition in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

The US has been generously providing arms support for the kingdom and its allies over the course of the war. It also lends the coalition logistical assistance, including bombing coordinates. A US commando force is, meanwhile, deployed near the Saudi-Yemeni border to seek and destroy the arms caches belonging to Yemen’s Yemeni army forces, which defends the country against the coalition .

Emirates signed 5.73 billion dirham ($1.5 billion) worth of contracts with US arms giant Raytheon to buy its Patriot missile systems, said the exhibition’s spokesman General Mohammed Al Hassani ,according to  AFP

It had also signed a 1.3-billion-dirhams ($353-million) contract with the company for the systems.

US President Donald Trump went to Saudi Arabia where he signed a massive $110 billion arms deal with the oil-rich kingdom.

The Department of Defense said that the monarchy is breaking the terms of its arms deal with Washington.

Amnesty International has slammed the United States, Britain and France for their continued arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started  a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and  prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.

More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.

However, Saudi Arabia relies heavily on the US in its brutal war on Yemen. Washington has deployed a commando force on the Arab kingdom’s border with Yemen to help destroy arms belonging to Yemen’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement. Washington has also provided logistical support and aerial refueling.
