Mohammed Abdul Salam denounces US decision to designate IRGC as terrorist organization

The official spokesman for Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdul Salam, has denounced the US decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran as a “terrorist organisation”.

Abdul Salam said that the move is a great step of folly, stressing that the Iranian response should be firm.

“The US administration has consistently passed all red lines, defying the peoples of the region by igniting wars and confiscating their holy sites and lands in order to perpetuate the hegemony of the Israeli enemy,” Abdul Salam said on his Twitter account.

In this context, the political bureau of Ansarullah confirmed that the US is the mother of terrorism, its primary sponsor and exporter all across the world.

The Political Bureau said that confronting US decisions is the most appropriate and desirable option left to Yemen in order to preserve its identity, land, its peoples and their capabilities.

It also called on all the free peoples of the world to reject these aggressive resolutions and reject all American and Israeli plans and actions in the region.

Four years of war has taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure, destroying hospitals, schools, and factories. The UN has already said that a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in dire need of food, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger. According to the world body, Yemen is suffering from the most severe famine in more than 100 years.
