Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Aziz Al-Kaumaim on Monday met with WHO Resident Representative Altaf Musani.
The two sides discussed a number of issues related to the activities of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Yemen and the medical and relief support provided by the organization to those affected by the aggressive war, which continues to affect our country.
The Minister of Planning stressed the importance of strengthening relief and humanitarian support to Yemen to alleviate the humanitarian repercussions left by the continuation of the unjust and absurd war launched by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.
He stressed the need for the United Nations and the international actors to exercise their duty to exert serious pressure to stop this war of aggression and put an end to its catastrophic consequences.
For his part, the Resident Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) stressed the organization’s keenness to continue providing medical and relief support to those affected and to play an active role in alleviating the humanitarian and health consequences.
