Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi stressed the readiness of the National Delegation to reach a just peace. He also stressed “the importance of stopping the brutal aggression, lifting the unjust siege and opening the airports,” this came during his meeting with UN envoy Martin Griffith on Tuesday.

According to the head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, the meeting discussed the need to expedite the prisoners’ exchange and the continued violation of legal and humanitarian standards by the forces of aggression, including the use of economical means to compensate for their military failures.

The United Nations was reminded of the economy issue of the initiatives by the Supreme Political Council, which were consistent with the understanding reached in the Stockholm Agreement. On this issue, Sayyed Abdulmalek made it clear that “the forces of aggression and their mercenaries are fully responsible and bear the consequences of the continuation of this arbitrary use of the economy, as well as the continued closure of Sana’a International Airport.”

The United Nations has also been reminded of the steps taken by the National Delegation on the Stockholm Agreement.

In the meeting, Sayyed Abdulmalek denounced the reluctance of the pro-aggression party to move on with the implementation of the Stockholm agreement in the Hodeidah. They have not met their obligation despite the fact that the National Delegation presented a unilateral step in the redeployment in the ports. The pro-aggression side bears full responsibility for this, especially the continuation of the siege of the people of Al-Durayhimi for nearly a year despite all the appeals made by civilians in the district.
