Tribes in the Yemeni province of Al-Maharah confirmed that they continue their endeavor to drive out Saudi-backed paid fighters and stop their futility.
In an expanded meeting, Al-Maharah tribes held Saudi paid fighters responsible for the use of force against their sons, stressing that they have the right to respond to any targeting or provocation against any citizen.
At the tribal meeting, Sheikh Ali Salem Al-Harizi, the former deputy governor of Al-Maharah province, called for raising the state of readiness and preparing for the expulsion of the Saudi forces from the province.
Al-Harizi said that any southern components that claim to represent the south cannot be recognized, as these components are only puppets in the hands of the forces of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Al-Maharah’s sons considered the decision to prohibit bearing and selling arms, as well as seizing weapons, as a prelude to a campaign of liquidation that the Saudi forces intend to carry out against the leaders and sheikhs of the province opposed to its occupation project for the Yemeni territories.
Head of the National Delegation, Mohamed Abdulsalam, earlier, commented on the militarily mobilization of Saudi Arabia, in Socotrah and Al-Mahrah provinces saying “it reveals the nature of the aggression on Yemen. It is an aggression of that leads to occupation and expansion.”
“The infiltration of the invading forces in those areas, which are not part of the military conflict, is under the excuse of reconstruction. Our Yemeni People, however, all of its components, does not fall for such false allegations,” he explained.
In Feburuary, Sheikh Ali Salem Al-Harizi confirmed that what is happening in the is the reproduction of the occupation by Saudi forces. Al-Harizi, who is leading the protests against the foreign forces, said in an interview with Al-Jazeera TV that the step of forming the paid fighters by the Transitional Council came in the last few days and the leadership of the Transitional Council in a move to hand over the province from Saudi Arabia to the UAE.
In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
