Forces of the 21st Mika Brigade loyal to Hadi’s government, the fugitive resigned Yemeni president, and affiliated to Islah Party on Sunday seized control of “al-Ersal hill” site from the UAE-backed elite paid fighters.Hadi’s forces repelled earlier in the day an attack by “Shabwani elite paid fighters” and seized several cars and an armored vehicle belonging to them.
Commenting on their defeat, the elite paid fighters said the withdrawal of troops from al-Ersal hill near Ataq was a tactical withdrawal.
UAE-backed so-called of Southern Transitional Council (STC) described its defeat in Ataq city of Shabwah province as tactical withdrawal. The remarks by the STC came after the Saudi-backed resigned Hadi’s forces had attacked the STC’s separatist paid fighters and retaken over several sites in the city.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) media, for its part, praised great triumphs and achievements made by so-called of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s separatist paid fighters in Shabwah.
Abu Dhabi TV Channel said” the UAE-backed elite forces attacked and secured all districts of Shabwah province from terrorist elements.”
A large truck loaded with billions of riyals overturned on Sunday while coming from the Central Bank of Aden towards Marib province on the main road linking between Shabwa and Marib provinces.The overturned money-laden truck was seized and confiscated by Shabwani elite forces. Those funds were , as sources said, allocated to fuel the conflicts and fighting between Islah Party paid fighters loyal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE-backed paid fighters.
Two days earlier, a leader in the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyal to the UAE said that the game in Shabwa province did not end.“The match is 90 minutes in total and in case of a draw there are penalties,” Ahmed Saeed bin Borik wrote on his Twitter account.
“Shabwa and its elite and resistance forces are still in the first quarter,” he said, stressing that the whole south is with the people of Shabwa province.
Yestarday,UAE sent military reinforcements to support Shabwanian elite’s forces in Shabwah province.The UAE sent 33+ military pick-up vehicles carrying 33+ cannons from Aden to Aataq district.
Large Saudi military forces August 22, arrived in Shabwa province.Political observers considered that the dispatch of Saudi forces to the province of Shabwa comes within the conflict of interests and the sharing of natural resources between the Emirati and Saudi forces in all southern provinces.
In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
