The Saudi-led coalition forces on Thursday released one of the 11 oil derivatives tankers held for 64 days, a local source in Hodeidah reported.

Citing sources at the port of Hodeidah, the amount of oil and diesel on the released tanker does not cover the necessary needs in the service sectors.

The Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) announced, on Wednesday, the alert state due to the piracy of the coalition forces in the detention of oil derivatives tankers, while the United Nations remains silent towards such actions that threaten the lives of the Yemeni People.

Eleven oil tankers carrying more than 106.353 tons of gasoline and 180.772 tons of diesel are still held by the US-backed coalition and its mercenaries for 64 days. Shortages of fuel have caused spiking up its price to 200 percent in some areas, making the transportation of life-saving aid to communities-in-need more expensive.
