Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 44,000 Amid Intensified Israeli Strikes

2

The death toll from Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has climbed to 44,211, with at least 104,567 people injured, according to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Sunday.

The ministry reported that the majority of the casualties are women and children, while thousands of others remain trapped under rubble or stranded on roads inaccessible to rescue teams due to ongoing bombardments.

The statement also highlighted four recent massacres committed against families in Gaza, resulting in 35 deaths and 94 injuries.

Israeli forces have continued their large-scale airstrikes and artillery shelling on the besieged territory, with the Palestinian ministry accusing them of committing acts of genocide against civilians. The relentless assaults have created a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza, exacerbated by a crippling blockade that has left residents without access to basic necessities.
