Jordan Condemns “Israel’s” Halt Of Humanitarian Aid To Gaza
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the decision by “Israel” to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and to close the crossings used for this purpose, calling it a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Fourth Geneva Convention on the protection of civilians in times of war from 1949.
The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, stated that the Israeli Occupation government’s decision represents a gross violation of the ceasefire agreement, threatening to reignite tensions in the region.
Ambassador Qudah emphasized the need for “Israel” to stop using starvation as a weapon against Palestinians and innocent civilians by imposing a blockade on them, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
He called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities and to compel “Israel” to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, ensure the implementation of all its phases, and open the crossings designated for sending humanitarian aid to various parts of the Strip, which is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
