The United Kingdom and the United States support the war on Yemen with billions of dollars in arms sales and military support, complicating the suffering of millions of Yemeni civilians, Oxfam International said in a statement on Monday.

This came in response to the World Health Organization report, with the deaths of some 2,000 people and half a million cholera cases in Yemen.

The World Health Organization said on Monday that more than half a million people in Yemen had been infected with cholera since the outbreak of the epidemic four months ago, noting that the disease killed 1975 people. Adding that more than five thousand new infections of the virus, which passes through the water, recorded daily.

“The catastrophic crisis of the cholera epidemic in Yemen rewrites the miserable history of this disease,” said Oxfam. “Our common humanity tells us that this enormous crisis requires a tremendous response.”

“This is not a casual disaster, it is a man-made disaster driven by national and international politics,” Oxfam said in a statement. “All those who fight and support this war need to stop fueling the war and return to the peace table for the suffering Yemeni families. Of people, and many have lost all they have, as many have seen that their future has stopped. “
