Armament deals are an absolute priority for the Saudi regime, as there are many reasons why Saudi Arabia is a huge reservoir of sophisticated weapons, mostly American, considering the deep relationship with Washington.
The aggression on Yemen is a real test of American weapons that have been flowing into the kingdom for decades and cost hundreds of billions of dollars, but they did not achieve the goal of the occupation of Yemen as planned in partnership with the White House.
In addition, the failure of the Patriot Air Defense to intercept Yemeni ballistic missiles has prompted the Saudi regime to seek a more sophisticated alternative, wondering what if Yemen is filled with more sophisticated weapons.
Saudi Arabia has many concerns and has many adversaries in the region. Some have intercontinental weapons, so they resorted to Washington to supply them with more sophisticated systems, ending the agreement to sell the 15-billion-dollar anti-missile system.
The deal will support US national security and foreign policy interests and will bolster the security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region in the face of Iranian threats and other threats, the US Department of Defense said in a statement.
The American statement added that the deal with Saudi Arabia will not change the basic balance of military in the region in a letter to reassure the Israeli entity, which means that the weapons sold to Saudi Arabia are made according to two conditions:
The first is that it will not reach the level of the Israeli enemy of weapons
The second is that these weapons will be used to serve American and therefore Israeli policy in the region
The United States of America sees Saudi Arabia as the spearhead of its proxy wars, giving it advanced weapons, a model similar to that of South Korea when Washington deployed the Thad regime in its territory months later to counter North Korean missiles.
