A mine in an Arab country is the largest copper reserves in the world

Saradin Al Hussein, General Manager of Ariab Mining Company in Sudan, said that Otep has the largest copper reserves in the world.
Hussein added that the mine contains 5 million tons of copper, in addition to 700 thousand tons of zinc and 140 thousand tons of gold and 3 thousand tons of silver.
Bringing the total reserves to US $ 17 billion.
During a visit to the mine, Hussein said that the government is conducting high-level negotiations with four international banks and sovereign funds to finance the copper production project.
According to the Sudanese news agency quoted his remarks, Hussein hopes that these negotiations will end with the beginning of the New Year, to begin the production process, which will last between 14 to 18 months.
