Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri issued a rigorous warning to Hezbollah during his interview with France’s CNews on Monday.
Hariri claims that Hezbollah is meddling in regional affairs and thereby threatens Lebanon’s security with its actions.
“They know we have to remain neutral in the region. I don’t want a political party in my government that interferes in Arab countries against other Arab countries,” CNews quoted him as stating.
Moreover, Hariri threatened that if Hezbollah does not refrain from regional affairs, he will resign from his post as Prime Minister.
Hezbollah deployed troops to Syria in 2013 after the Syrian government demanded their presence to assist in protecting the Lebanese border.
