The Saudi Kingdom was defeated in the war it is waging on behalf of the United States in Yemen, forcing it to buy urgent new arms deals worth $ 610 million, not supervised in America, but directly through the US State Department last year.
The American newspaper “Zero Edge” published a report that addresses the sales of US weapons in a high record during the period of the war on Yemen. This is considered to act as a consequence of Saudi Arabia and the UAE buying and dropping American bombs on northern Yemen, which caused the deaths of thousands of civilians, adding that what matters to America is the continued flow of Gulf oil to it.
The newspaper blamed America for the massacres and humanitarian famine of Yemen due to its complicity in the war, the participation of its military forces, and the continuation of the naval and air blockade that threatens millions with famine.
“Civilians continue to die because of American air strikes,” it confirmed.
The newspaper said that the main driving force of America allowing the continuation of the war on Yemen by the Saudi regime is the sale of American weapons, making America the biggest culprit in the humanitarian disaster and war crimes against civilians, noting that the air strikes did not achieve anything but the killing of civilians in various governorates, particularly in the northern governorates.
US Monitor also reported that America sold more than $ 650 million in arms to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates last year and signed deals worth more than $ 400 billion last May during the US president’s presence in Riyadh.
The newspaper quoted the Washington-based security aid monitors as saying, “the weapons went to the states of Saudi Arabia and the UAE through the direct sales program of the US State Department, where US arms dealers sold an estimated 610 million dollars distributed on precision guided bombs and ammunition for small arms to the Saudis, $ 6 million in M-4 and M-16 automatic rifles and spare parts for UAE nationals.
US arms sales reached $ 82.2 billion last year while the Middle East and North Africa received nearly $ 30 billion.
