Hodeida Port is functioning normally: Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation

Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation said on Wednesday that the port of Hodeidah is functioning in a normal manner, according to a statement issued by the corporation.

In its statement, the corporation denied news circulated on some media regarding the prevention of ship entry to unload their cargo on the port’s quays.

The statement affirmed that the port is run by a specialized civilian management in compliance with the International Security System for Ports (ISPS), and all vessels heading to it are subject to United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism (UNVIM).

“It is a civilian port and a lifeline for Yemenis,” the statement continued.
