Here is how the Yemeni army forces to the coalition 100 airstrikes on their lifeline city

The spokesman of the Yemeni army forces, Brigadier Yahya Sari, said on Thursday that the Yemeni army forces succeeded in cutting the supply lines of the Saudi-led coalition, backed by the US, forces on the West Coast, while international organizations warned of a famine .

He stressed that the offensive operations by the Yemeni army forces led to cutting off of all lines of ground supply, which caused the confusion among their enemy forces, adding that that the coalition’s air support failed to help its paid fighters or lift the siege imposed on them.

“The offensive operations of our forces resulted in the destruction of seventeen military vehicles and the death of at least 150 people,” Sari said. “We call on all armed mercenaries on the West Coast fronts to respond to loudspeaker calls from our troops and to surrender themselves through the points set out in those appeals,” he added.

The Military Media of the Yemeni army forces, for its part , distributed scenes of the losses of the coalition forces and paid fighters during their failed creep on the Kilo-16, south Hodeidah province.

The scenes showed the paid fighters who were trying to reach the city of Hodeidah through Kilo-16 and how the Yemeni army forces were able to intercept them, destroying their military machinery and armors, dead paid fighters,whereas their bodies scattered in the vast areas of the battlefield.

In the scenes, the bodies of a number of paid fighters, who were killed during their failed attempt in Kilo-16 and the city of Hodeidah, were shown. The scenes documented the escape of the paid fighters, in large numbers, after they suffered heavy losses amid their ranks.

Last Tuesday, the Military Media distributed  the first scenes of a military operations and confrontations in the Kilo-16.
During the last few days, dozens of military machinery and armors were destroyed and dozens of paid fighters were killed and wounded.

The spokesman of Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdulsalam, said that the recent escalation in various frontlines came with US military permission, adding in a statement to YemenExtra that the Yemeni army forces are aware of all the enemy’s plans on the West Coast and on all fronts, adding that what their enemy achieved in the recent escalation nothing but only spreading across deserts and valleys, and stressing that the military situation on various fronts is not alarming, pointing out that “Yemen faces the most powerful countries in the world, once again in its original historical position.”

UNICEF confirmed that the young child called Adam, a 10-year-old boy who weighed just 10kg (22lbs) has died in Hodeidah as a result of severe acute malnutrition.

The World Organization said Adam was one of 400,000 children in Yemen suffering from severe acute malnutrition, asserting that “they may be killed at any moment.”

As the US-Saudi aggression in the Yemeni port city continues – with almost 100 airstrikes falling on it this weekend alone – the conflict moves closer and closer to Al-Thawra hospital, where Adam died.

UNICEF executive director Henrietta Fore said the fighting is now “dangerously close” and is “putting the lives of 59 children, including 25 in the intensive care unit, at imminent risk of death”.

Meanwhile, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) warned that hundreds of thousands of Yemenis were in danger in Hodeidah.

The Committee noted that the forthcoming talks should not be taken as an excuse to disregard the laws of war that protect the lives of the people.

The US-Saudi-led coalition  launched an offensive on Hodeidah on 12 June in the largest battle of the war that the United Nations fears risks triggering a famine in Yemen where an estimated 8.4 million people are on the verge of starvation. Recently, It has been paused for peace talks, but no deal has been struck leaving Yemenis pessimistic over a viable political process.

Abdulmalik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthi(Ansarallah)  movement, which is the main force that faces the coallition, said on a TV speech ,” The decision of invading the Yemeni ,western coast, has been taken and adopted by the United States of America,noting that the Saudis are trying to abolish Yemen’s freedom,” stressing that it was the people of Yemen’s right to defend their country.

The Bab el-Mandab Strait, which is the southern entrance to the Red Sea, is one of the world’s key shipping lanes for crude oil and allows crude exports into the European market.

The United Nations said more than 350,000 people have been displaced from the strategic Red Sea port town of Hodeidah in western Yemen since June.Deputy spokesman for the Secretary-General, Farhan Haq, said during a press conference  that violent clashes have erupted in the city over the past few days, especially in the Ad Durayhimi district.He added that emergency humanitarian assistance has already been provided to more than 90 per cent of those displaced.
