The spokesman for the armed forces Brigadier Yahya Saria’a said that the Yemeni army forces in the fronts of Nata and Qaniah in al-Baida province broke two advances of the paid fighters of the Saudi-led coalition, backed by the US, from several tracks and inflicted them heavy losses in lives and equipment.
He explained in a statement to the Saba news agency that the paid fighters today tried to progress on the fronts of Nataa and Qaniah with large advances ,backed by artillery and missile as well as air cover , but the fighters of the Yemeni army forces broke those advances that continued from early morning to night.
He pointed out that their fighters were able to clear a camp of the so-called al-Qaeda in the Dahaki area in al-Baida , which was used to carry out terrorist operations and disturb the public tranquility , but their fighters have tightened control after the killing of dozens of terrorists and the gain of weapons and five mechanisms.
In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 60,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.
Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
