Yemeni-Russian Meeting in Muscat Confirms Importance of Political Settlement

Head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, met with  Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov during his visit to Oman, on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed the need to accelerate the comprehensive political settlement as the Saudi-led coalition enters more complex phases in Yemen and the region.

Abdulsalam said that they also discussed issues of mutual interest and follow-ups of the results of his visit to Moscow last month.

On Wednesday, a delegation from the National Salvation Council met Bogdanov and agreed to continue communication with the Russian side. A delegation from the South National Salvation Council would visit Russia later.
