Scores of recruits were killed and wounded on Sunday by a violent explosion that rocked a camp in Aden, southern Yemen.
The coastal city of Aden is currently under control of the Saudi-backed ousted president, Hadi.
The explosion occurred in an ammunition depot at a camp in Jabal Hadid region, killing five and injuring at least 15 others as members of the so-called “Presidential Protection Brigades”, local source reported to YemenExtra.
The dead and wounded were transferred to the hospitals of Aden, while reasons behind the explosions are yet unknown as well as the final toll of the fallen victims.
Aden and other southern governorates in Yemen have been subjected to internal insecurity for a year and a half.
