Adel al-Hassani, the leader of the so-called “Southern Resistance,” revealed that the transitional council’s refusal to hand over the presidential palace to the Hadi government forces in the city of Aden.

Al-Hassani said in a tweet on his Twitter account that the forces loyal to the Transitional Council, still control all state institutions, which indicates the failure of the Riyadh agreement.

Al-Hassani confirmed the refusal of the transitional forces to hand over the presidential palace to the brigade of the first presidential protection, according to the commitment stipulated in the Riyadh agreement.

The commander of the First Brigade Presidential Protection, Brigadier General Sanad Abdullah al-Rahwa, returned to Aden, last Monday, for the task of reconstituting the brigade.

Violent clashes broke out Saturday between armed factions, formed by the United Arab Emirates, in Aden city. A local source said that clashes erupted between forces belonging to the so-called Aden Security Department and the Protection of Facilities Brigade in the fishing port in Tawahi.

The source added that the Facilities Protection Forces arrived at the port take over the forces of the Aden Security Department, which refused to hand over the port resulting in clashes.

Dozens of mothers, of those abducted by UAE forces, protested in front of the headquarters of the Saudi-UAE occupation forces, on Monday, to demand the disclosure of the fate of their abducted and forcibly disappeared sons.

The mothers of the detainees demanded the to reveal the fate of more than 37 abducted, which they do not know their fate or health status, stressing that they continue to demand the rights of their sons until they have full freedom.

Saudi forces closed Aden International Airport and forced all incoming flights to divert towards Seiyun International Airport.

Media sources confirmed that local authorities in Aden, whether loyal to “Hadi” government or to the southern transition, have become unaware of what the Saudi forces wants in Aden.

The sources pointed out that among the flights that were forced to divert, a Yemeni flight was coming from India with the bodies of Yemeni patients who died there.

In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started  a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and  prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.

Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
