A march for bread, which launched on April 19 from Sana`s, has reached to Hodeida province western Yemen, denouncing plans by Saudi-led coalition to attack Hodeidah.

Oxfam have demanded life-saving support to millions of civilians in Yemen, who are struggling to survive starvation and disease in the wake of Saudi Arabia’s atrocious aerial bombardment campaign.

The food crisis could deteriorate in case the international community fails to send a clear message that Saudi-led airstrikes against Yemen’s western port city of Hudaydah, which serves as a primary entry point for humanitarian aid and fuel for the Arab country, would be “totally unacceptable”, Oxfam noted.

Earlier, The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) representative in Yemen, Stephen Anderson, warned on Wednesday of targeting the port of Hodeidah in military operations.

Yemeni Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf send a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and to the President and members of the Security Council, refuting the allegations of Saudi Arabia in the port of Hodeida, and the escalation by the countries in the west coast of Yemen.

The port of Hodeida is the main lifeline for food and medicines for nearly 80% of the Yemeni people, as well as the entry of humanitarian aid from international organizations working in Yemen.
