Dozens of Palestinians Killed in Series of Israeli Strikes in Gaza
A number of Palestinians, including children, were killed and several others injured since the early hours of Sunday morning as Israeli airstrikes continued to target multiple areas across Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local and medical sources.
In one of the attacks, a young girl was killed and several others were injured when Israeli forces bombed a house in the Khan Younis refugee camp. Additionally, two more Palestinians were killed when an Israeli drone targeted farmers south of the city.
Rescue teams further retrieved the body of Elin Alaa Baraka, 7-year-old girl, who had been buried under the rubble after an Israeli airstrike hit a house in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, several days ago.
Meantime, four more Palestinians were injured in an Israeli artillery shelling that targeted a gathering of civilians in the Al-Awamrah area, east of the large town of Abasan, also east of Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation fighter jets also targeted a house and displacement tents west of Khan Younis, resulting in further casualties.
According to medical sources, the number of Palestinians killed as a result of the Israeli attacks on the province since last night has risen to 19.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 50,669 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 115,225 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel’s genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
