The Yemeni social unit of Ansar Allah aka Houthis launched on Saturday a “Feed The Needy” initiative in the capital Sana’a aiming at providing food baskets and bread for the poor residing in the capital Sana’a.

The incident coincides with the distribution of five thousand baskets to the families of the families of the Yemeni martyrs killed in battlefields against the current Saudi war.

“Feed The Needy” initiative also covered the necessities of the financially unstable in the capital, as well as the many refugees that fled embattled regions between the Saudi-paid militia and the Yemeni joint military, the latter waging retaliatory attacks.

In addition, various provinces are frequent targets of the aerial bombardment carried out by the Saudi-led coalition.

Yemen suffered poverty throughout its recent existence, but since the beginning of the US-backed Saudi war and its imposed siege on the impoverished country, hardships and struggle have dramatically increased.
