The Syrian Arab Army waged an important offensive in eastern Damascus this week, targeting the rebel-held territory in Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma.

Led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard and Special Mission Forces, the Syrian Arab Army were capable to make several gains over the last 24 hours, securing a number of buildings along the heavily fortified front-lines of the terrorist rebels.

On Wednesday, the Syrian Arab Army declared the capture of a large tunnel that was used in the Al-Jisr Neighborhood of ‘Ayn Tarma; this was followed by the seizure of this neighborhood shortly after.

Meanwhile in the Jobar District of east Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army announced taking control of the Ghazwat Badr Mosque after a short battle with rebels in the region.

The Syrian Arab Army’s High Command has issued another request to the rebel forces in Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma; either give up these regions or prepare to fight to death.
